The Mono project team just announced the first Silverlight Linux version. So this is now possible to develop an RIA application using the Silverlight technology that will run on Windows, Mac and Linux systems.
Silverlight is running extremely fast in terms of platforms coverage so Adobe, that just announced a beta version of its AIR runtime, should take care of it.
