In a recent interview, Mozilla Foundation Europe chairman Tristan Nitot is saying that adopting RIA technologies like Flex and Silverlight may be dangerous for customers.
The reason for his mind: these are proprietary technologies and their authors (Microsoft and Adobe) may change their business model in the future.
As an alternative, he tries to push HTML5 that is going to support audio and video natively. However, the expected release date for HTML5, 2010, is too late to be in line with the already started RIA revolution !
